Brown County first day of summer

Got back this afternoon from a weekend at a dude ranch in Brown County. We rode horses, swam, hiked (finding a geocache) <-- scroll to the bottom to see our "log", and played miniture golf. Turns out Molly is a natural (at the golfing). She beat Maddie by 10 strokes!

Added 7/4: The picture to the left is the stable. We stayed in a room above it (to the left).

Molly is at ShawnM's birthday party right now (glow-in-the-dark bowling), and Maddie and Courtney are decomposing.

We've kinda decided to make this an annual "first day of summer" type of family vacation.

John was nice enough to mow my lawn while we were away!

7/4: Added these photos of the ranch (takes me awhile):

Were all 9 boxes under a log covered with leaves and sticks?

Sounds like a fun tradition for starting the summer holiday.

The possessive plural of girl is girls' (not girl's, which is a contraction for 'girl is'...) Similarly, the possessive plural of children is childrens' which has no singular possessive form, of course, since it is one of the collective words that does not require singular agreement.

And now ends the supremely valuable unasked for lesson in grammar. From your favorite and beloved not to mention relentless and eternally grammatically correct English teacher/jomama.

There was only one box...and thanks for the grammer lesson. If only you had instilled it as I grew up, instead of trying to teach it to me as an adult, I may have actually been a success in life.

Oh well...
