Lightning and Sex Offenders

Went to the Y today to swim. Well, actually, I TRIED to go. After corralling Molly and Sam (quite a feat), we went to the pool, to be summarily turned away since a lifeguard "saw lightning". Fine.

So, Molly and I come back and decide to walk down to her school. As we approach, we see a couple squad cars in front, and some crime scene tape. "Daddy - what's a sex offender?" Molly whispers. Never a good sign.

As I struggle to answer, six more crusiers pull around us, and I see the SWAT team start to deploy. The last crusier stops, and basically tells us to turn around and go back.

So much for trying to exercise.

And they say the "East side" gets a bad rap. I wonder why?

P.S. Now my content blocker has blocked my own blog from view. That's what I get for pushing the envelope re: sexual keywords.

P.P.S. I've had this blog FOR A YEAR! Who would have thought I'd keep at it? Probably an ego thing.
