two people were shot after an argument
This morning's paper said that the police were searching the apartment building next to the school because two people were shot after an argument. They are both in stable condition, but the perp is still "at large" as far as we know.
So, we told the girls to be "extra careful" as they bike to school.

Is this related to the killings that are in the news today? I can't find where it says what neighborhood they took place, but the timing seems about right.

I don't know - our paper the morning of said the two were in stable condition.
