I read today that over half of all blogs are splogs (spam blogs, used to generate link revenue). I wonder if my blog counts?

I rode my bike home today for the first time this season (yes, I know it's September, and I know I'm a lamer). The back tire was flat, and by the time I pulled into the gas station to fill it up, the tube was busted. So, I'll probably take it in to get it fixed, in time for it to sit unused until next September. C'est la vie dans la household Mitchell.

I'm reading Godless by Ann Coulter, having given up on Triumph (it was too mean - comparing (to cite only two of MANY instances) Martin Luther to Adolf Hitler, and referring to Calvinists as "beady eyed"). Ann Coulter is pretty mean too, but she's SO over-the-top that its funny (as opposed to sad).

My book reading prioritization heuristic (in case you forgot), is that highest priority is given to books given to me by someone who's read it, knows me well, and thinks I would like it. This allows me to prioritize the bazillion good books out there more easily. This was true of both Triumph and Godless.

I'm feeling just a little sick to my stomach, having eaten a big load of home-made chocolate mousse. That, in and of itself, would normally be enough, but in this particular batch the egg whites were uncooked (having been forgotten until the last minute). Such is the life of the proud father of an 11-year-old just learning how to follow a recipe.

She just now told me that the egg whites are not supposed to be cooked. Let me check. She was right...hmm...and no warning in the recipe. Methinks the chance of food poisioning is slight. My feeling must be psychosomatic.
