bread on the water, fruit flush

Played poker last night. The phrase "bread on the water" came up, but we couldn't find it in scripture - even tho it sounds like it should be. Maybe I should have looked up "bread upon the water". I think I won about $5. It was fun - we had nine people by the end of the evening (Heather had bowling until about 9pm, but Leroy is able to make it on Wednesdays - so he came).

The auditors are at work today and tomorrow, so it should be an interesting day. This is only a "pre-assessment", and they are coming back in late September for the real thing. I'm seeing if I can make it down to New Orleans to help with the clean up in October...not that I have any skills in that area...

I ordered two games yesterday (for my birthday, from my parents) - The Great Space Race and Hey, That's my Fish!. I'm looking forward to playing both of them. The most famous french board game designer (bruno faidutti) picked the Fish one as his favorite game of the year, and as you recall, I enjoyed the Race one at GenCon for the past couple years.

I haven't been playing Eve for awhile. I'm thinking of stopping paying, and putting my characters on hold.

Molly was complaining last night of not feeling well, but when I just woke her up, she didn't groan or anything, so I hope it was a temporary thing.

Kerry (my bro)'s birthday was yesterday - HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KERRY! I don't think he reads my blog, but it's the thought that counts.

I just finished a "fruit flush" diet. I didn't stick to it PERFECTLY, but it was nice to have a change, and a bit of a wake-up call re: eating healthy. So, I asked Court to find some info on what EXACTLY we SHOULD be eating...so we can encourage the girls to have a more healthy breakfast, etc.

Healthier than 3 cups-o-Reeses Peanut Butter Puffs? ;-)

and yep, "healthier" is more correct than "more healthy" any day....(as auntie Kelley so subtly stated)
