Shoulder Update and Molly's First Poems

Blogger is down for maintenance as I write this (for the first time in my knowledge), and I only have 12 minutes, so I'm going to make this fast.

These are photos of the inside of my shoulder during surgery. The fluffy white stuff is inflamed tissue that he removed. The white smooth stuff making up the bulk of the pictures is (healthy) cartlidge. The tear itself is basically not visible in any of them except as a shadow.

He also removed a small bone spur "while he was in there", which is in the photo with the serrated looking thing.

The other picture is the physical therapy exercises I'm supposed to do 2x/day.

Here are two poems that Molly just wrote for some contest - they're surprisingly good, don't you think (for a 2nd grader)?
===========================================================

"Poetry"

Be kind.
Love with your mind.
Fill your heart with peace.
Love each other as you can.
Love each other like our man. [God]
I love you.
You love me.
Let's love each other as well as can be.
Let's fill the world with harmony.

"Harmony"

Peace and harmony.
Peace and love,
Peace with everything you can dream of.
Peace with heart.
Peace with care.
Peace all over everywhere.

Court and I are going out to dinner (and something afterwards...we're thinking of the movie "The 40-year-old Virgin", since 1. It's at the dollar theater, and 2. Court saw it and laughed the whole time, and thinks I should see it) with friends tonight (Dave and Amy L, and Tom and Julie P). The girls are being watched by Court's 'rents.

I had to go to work from 7:30am to 2p today (Saturday). We had a board meeting. It seemed pretty productive, and it was interesting to hear an update from three missionaries (two from India, and one from Honduras).

Maddie has a part in her first play (she's child #3 (of 6)...better than student #13 (of 21)!).

Well, I'd better sign off now...it's 4pm...

Note (added 3pm Sun): We ended up going to a poker tourny at church after dinner (I came in 4th, but didn't win any $).

From a reader:

Rebecca just wrote, with collaboration from me and Steve. (Belinda made some
suggestions but they were too silly to use)

Parents

Don't bite your nails
Don't wipe your nose on your clothes
Don't chew your hair
Don't pick your nose
Don't pick your feet
Don't sit there
Don't pick up the phone
Eat that up
Pick that up
Put that down
Don't play there
Brush your teeth
Go to bed
Turn off the TV
Do your wash
Brush your hair
Don't make a mess
Put that away
Tidy your room
Who did that?
Stop that arguing
Don't make faces
Go away
Don't look at me like that
Don't speak to me like that
Stop rolling your eyes
Go to your room
Leave your sister alone
Leave the cat alone
There's no way you had a proper wash
Put your shoes away
Hang up your coat
Don't run
Sit up!
Sit down!
Stand up
Stop that
Don't interrupt
Be quiet
Shush
ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING TO ME?!!

I think Molly's poems were un-belivably good.

Just for you to know this is from Rebecca, your cousin!

And relaxing.

Hi, back Kieron. Georgia, the other girl on the comments list, is my friend who lives across the road, she is 7.
We wrote it in together!

Just wanted you to be aware that my husband shared your blog from 11/5 with me. I like it. I like Molly's poetry a lot. She is so sweet.
